Ok car is 07 civic Si.  Remote start is a compustar 2w900fmas.  Attempting to use thePKH34 but I don't know how to wire it.  It says to use the 7 pin plug and wire it up the colors don't match.  The paperwork does not include wiring for the 06 and 07 civics.  I just followed the pinouts and that didn't work.  Then I messed around it said it was programmed but nothing.  I can only get my remote start to work without the bypass with the key in the switch.  Do I need to hook the keysense up to something here or not.  Also the bypass unit comes with 2 sets of directions, both of which have me lost.  A Install A "type C" and a Install B "type D."  What ones to follow.  Please help.

Where is the data wire?

The unit says the green plug is the one to use and it is a 7 pin.  Well the green plug on my car is a 6 pin with only 3 wires.  Now there is a white plug with 7 wires and that did not work.

You will be using INSTALL "B" aka Type D.

Honda Civic 2007 Transponder pinout.

7 Pin WHITE Connection. if you see a 6 pin harness with 3 wires, that is the wrong connector.

Pin 2 - Ignition (Yellow)

Pin 3 - Data (Light Green)
*How To Wire PKH34*

Wire RED - to 12volt constant @ ignition harness

Wire BLACK - Ground wire to chassis.
Wire BROWN - to status output from compustar module.
Wire VIOLET - tap into the Pin 3 (light green) @ the 7 pin WHITE connector on the transponer ring.

take 1 minute of your time and solder the VIOLET (DATA). a loose connection is not reliable at all.

Ok wired up and it still won't work.  Only works with a key in the ignition.  Is there something I need to hook my keysense wire up too?

You don't need keysense wired up.

Had u reprogrammed the module after u got it wired up ? If not, do a module reset first.

  • To reset, press & hold button & plug in module, Led comes on, When led goes off, release button, module is reset.
  • To program, turn key to ignition on, led goes on.
  • After led turns off, module is now programmed.
  • remove key from ignition & try remote start.

I got it wired up right.  I'll try to reset it and see what happens.

Ok I reset it twice and still it won't start unless something is in the ignition.  I am about to go to walmart and buy a blank key to leave in it.

do u have an extra key to the car? like a grey valet key or something? Becuase if you do there is a way to do it without the module. Its super easy, did it yesterday myself on this '07 civic at my job.

I do, but it is not a valet key.  And I don't want to leave that in the car.  Care to explain?
