Ok well I did a test fit last night and did not like how the amp would sit in the middle of the 2 subs so I am killing that idea. I am just going to do the 2 subs. I guess I will have to go with option 2 for the amo.. flush mount in the back of the seat.

Ok so I have cover it . Had some setback and a few minor roadblocks but I got thru them. Here are a few pic's of what I have so far. You will notice my wife;s had in a couple pics. Had to have her sew the 2 sides as I was having some issues with them but I think I got it under controls. So far I have coated it with resin and waiting for it to dry. After I will be adding FG to it to.

Here are a few more pic's. One layer of resin added. I ran out so I have to get some more. I am going to add on 2 more layers. I teset fitted it in the truck and it is a very tight fit. A bit tighter tham I would have liked and I am affraid of what will happen when I add in the next 2 layers.. I guess will see.

Well here is what I have

not too bad my friend, in the pics it looks like the center divider is gonna rub on the floor, or is it just the camera angel?  i'd only put one layer on the outside, and 2 layers on the inside to make sure you dont tighten that fit up too much. let me know how it turns out

I was thinking of doing the layers on the inside but my issue is will I be able to sand it as normal? I just don't want to ruin what I already have. I would love to add to the inside instead if the outer to keep the fit where it is at now. As for the divider yes it is a bit tight so I am going to try and sand it down some. Stupid me dod not test fit with the divider and got a little ahead of myself.

Anyway I am likeing it so far and think I have come up with a way to attach it to the door. I will keep you all posted.

Ok so after really looking at what it looks like in the truck and my color options I am going to try and match that color of the panel. Going over the color options with the wife and getting her input that seems to be the best way to go to keep everything flowing in the truck.

We both think it would look better than the factory red of the truck.

ok, i would add one layer on the outside and add a few to the inside. use a good brush and smooth the glass on the inside as much as possible, as long as its air tight u wont need to sand it just knock off the fibers that can stick you.  no one will see the inside so sanding is not a priority.  thats probably your best bet. then add thin layers of body filler to the outside to get a glass smooth finish.  try that and keep me posted, your almost done man. keep up the good work, glad to hear the wife is still involved with it, thats awesome.

looking nice. Have you decided if you are going to paint it or just wrap it in some material?

I have decided on what I am going to do. Earlier in the post I mentioned that I was going to paint it the same color of the truck but after looking at the pictures and much back and forth with the wife and some colors I am going to try and match the color of the plastic in the truck. So I am going to still paint just a different color. It is a graphite grey I believe.

I am still doing some finishing touches so no pic's yet but I will have some up soon.

I wanted to ask do any of you have pictures of some of your work?
