Why don't you just install a K/E with a fuel-pump kill?
Ideal - cmon dude, add to topics in a useful manner, not stuff that is obvious.
Story - Phzzzt! Hey, what happened?! ... Isn't it obvious?
Moral - Never dismiss the obvious.

owner did not want any remotes, and also did not want any fuel cut-off (someone else told him that his glowplugs will burn out if there is no deisel in the chamber). he likes to carry a single key without even a key ring.

anyway i installed the above relay set today, and it did exactly what he wanted. the key is turned to the run position and nothing happens till he pushes the hidden momentary button then ign 1 and 2 come on and the starter is allowed to crank. when the key is turned off the whole thing is reset.

thanks everybody for the advice.

if the starter is interupted the vehicle wont even crank...as soon as you start the truck and let go of the momentary switch you will lose ignition power...if a theif is gonna try and steal the truck more than likely he'll try and stick something in the ignition anyway.

the whole setup worked just like he wanted(so far). it was installed on monday.

the last relay on the left actually latches on the other three with 1 push of the button. so the 3 relays stay on the whole time the truck is running. and will not turn off until the key is turned off.

im thinking you mean that the button has to be held down during run and crank, but it doesnt.

if a theif jams something into the ignition nothing will happen until the "well hidden" button is pressed. even if someone uses the key and doesnt press the button the truck wont start. if you  look up into the underdash you wont see where i put the relays and all ignition wires were recovered in factory looking tape.

its actually a pretty cool setup unless a relay fails while hes driving, but he took a couple extra relays and understands the danger. i reccomend only starter kills, but hos truck is a manual so this is what he wanted.

thanks.
