Find the trucks horn wire or connect a LED test probe to the Vipers (-) Horn Output, or connect the Vipers (-) Horn Output temporarily to a spare relay Pin 85 and run Pin 86 to +12v for the audible (or visual) confirmation....
Soldering is fun!

Did you get the horn hooked up?  Do you get any flashes from the blue LED?

Turn key on then off   ...press AND HOLD valet button until you get 3 horn honks and three flashes of LED,    release the button and then press and release 1 time,  t hen press and hold,  you should get 1 horn honk and one flash,   press the unlock button. That should get you automatic mode.  Release the Valet Button and wait about 30 seconds the unit should exit the programming setup.

It might take a few time to get. Takes a bit of practice and paitence.

Give it a try.

Try putting a key in the ignition, do not turn the key, try to remote start.  see if it stays running.

I don't know what you have for tach setting, Virtual, Voltage, Off, or Tachometer.  Try starting the truck with the key, within 5 seconds  Press and HOLD the Valet button, If after 3 seconds of holding the button the LED lights up solid, you are in Tachometer mode and tach is learned.  Release button, turn off truck remove key, try to remote start.

If you have to change the setting for tach, it is the same procedure as MANUAL to AUTOMATIC except it will be press two times after the intial three horn honks. Then press the unlock button, exit the program (30 second wait)  and try remote start.  There are four options for TACH (Virtual, Voltage, OFF, and Tachometer), so you may have to try the remote start and the tach learn for each attempt.  This is where a Bitwriter is handy.
