Crap I can't edit.. I meant to say I have the 6711T antenna!!!
:::::::CHANGES BELOW:::::
Lurch I'm back!! I've tried to follow whats going on. And I'm still (I'm sorry) a little confused.
My 5701 brain says 9F (or some other letter, its definitely not 10 anything)
Now my new antenna is a 6711T (10d)
Just to be Clear the 7351v remote will NOT work for the configuration I have.
But if I switch my remote to the 7752V remote (using the new 6711T antenna) everything should work?!!?
Yes it will work!
The only issue I have found with going to the 6711t antenna on the older brains is you need to erase all remotes and then pair the 7652v first if you want to use a 7941v or a 7752v LCD remote as for some reason the system won't pair the LCD remotes until a 7652v has been paired first.
As when I upgraded my 5601 (6111t antenna) to the 6711t antenna the 7752v remote would not pair if the 7652v wasn't paired first. After the 7652 was paired to the system, the 7752 paired the first time.
So If you try to pair the 7752v and it fails, then you will need to pair a 7652v first then delete all remotes and pair the 7652v first again and it will pair the 7752v fine.
The original packaging for the 7351v stated it would work with the Viper 5901 system. The newer ones no longer list the 5901 on the packaging. So The compatibility with the 7351v and 6711t antenna is still unproven as far as I know.
As far as the 6711t antenna date code, that is not an issue for the older systems. It only applied to the to the pre 10D 6211t antennas shipped with the pre 10D systems, and needed to be updated to a 10D or newer antenna for the 7351v remote support.
The antenna is the interface or hub by which the remotes communicate with and the antenna also communicates with the brain via data, the only portion of the remote contained in the brain is the paired remote ID.
That's why if you want to use a 7351v remote with a older than 10D date code system the 6211t antenna needs to be upgraded to a 6211t 10D or newer date code. DEI covers all their bases by only saying that only a 10D or newer system will work. As thats when they made the changes to the 6211t antenna. And they didn't test to see if it would still work with the older systems though it should.

Follow these steps as follows and post back what your results are!
  1. Delete all remotes
  2. Exit pairing mode and verify all remotes have been deleted, and do not function.
  3. Pair the 7152 remote first and verify that it works.
  4. Pair the 7351 LCD remote.
  5. Exit pairing mode test all remotes.
  6. Post back your results!

Some times it can take mutiple tries to get it to update to the new antenna and remote. You can also try with no antenna pluged in and power cycle it, then pull power and reconnect antenna and try my updated list again.
Also verify that the 7351 is set to the Security mode not Remote start mode in it's internal settings.
But there could be a cut-off date that the antenna upgrade won't work. As this is a work in progress to determine what will work and what won't. The only thing that would limit the remotes would be a id range that is not included in the older firmware that the 7351 uses. As a refurbished unit would have the latest firmware loaded at the time of repair so that can also make a difference.
If you had it installed at a authorized dealer they can replace it with a brain that will work with the 7351.
Otherwise the cheapest way to upgrade the brain is to get a refurbished matching 5601 or 5701 with the 10D or newer date code.
Should be a white sticker on the main unit that reads OK/9D or the like or you can get a close match to the date code by the small raised clock dials in the plastic case.
Also there are 2 versions of the alarm/remote start in this series the 18 pin and non-18 pin.
