If the 02 has the same dash as an 02 Silverado, it can be done. Our normal labor rate to install a video screen is 75 dollars. We charge 200 dollars labor for this job.

you wont need any parts other than the wire harness and antenna adapter. the dash kit would be useless if it is the dash im thinking about thats a little smaller than a true 2din.

We do not use a kit either. I have heard of some using the 99-3002 kit. (Kit for the 02) But it is not needed. I was just giving you the prices earlier so you could guess how much cutting was needed to pull this off. You have to cut out behind the radio, as well as the bezel that covers the radio. You will also have to use a sheet of ABS plastic to make the panels to cover the left and right sides of the deck.

I would think not, if you do use the kit, take some pictures for us.

not sure if you had any specific radio in mind yet but the install is way easier if you buy a radio with a 6.5" screen and non motorized. a radio with a smaller screen might not even need any cutting of the dash trim but you will still need to cut a good bit from behind the dash so the radio will sit level.

You still have to cut, even with a 5.8 inch screen. Not as much cutting as a motorized 7 inch.
