yes, brown wire needs to be hooked to an Accessory power source. a good rule with remote starts is that if the wires have power with the key then it should have power with remote start. it might not be necessary to start but it does do something so better hook it up.

Verify the Vipers Pink/White output wire is connected to the trucks White ignition wire & programmed to IGN2 and that the Viper RED / White wire is getting a good +12V constant input.  The White wire not getting power properly during R/S usually causes the transmission CEL.
Soldering is fun!

Oh, I thought it was the second ACC not being connected that causes that problem, but what do I know, what's a Silverado?
And Kregg, please don't go there with the UK soccer, it explains my bad mood, great I can now access Sky Sport channels in HD and what do we get? Two draws and a loss...great.

I think it's getting power. Every now and then when I take off from a dead stop right before it shifts to 2nd it kinda jumps and then it's good. I know it's not the truck bc it started after r/s installed. The RED / white is powered 12v constant. The brown wire needs to be powered how. I got the relay diagram but I'm not good with relays/diagram

The ign 2 wire has proper voltage and I have hooked up the brown acc wire to a relay and drove it around bout 20 mins. Transmission was fine the whole time. Don't know if it threw a code or not cause the light was on already bc of my evap vent valve solenoid. Getting it check around noon if local auto store is open. Let y'all know then. Thanks for the help
