Hi Guys,
Installed Prostart 2-way Remote starter with idatalink bypass and have a few issues:
- Cannot program the bypass (after choosing the proper connection, nothing happens when I turn the key in both data or hard wire hookup)
- Truck will not shift from park
- I'm getting the door ajar message even though all doors are closed
Details are as following:
Truck: 2010 Ford F150 Lariat
Starter: Prostart CT-3471TW
Bypass: idatalink ADS-TBSL-TI
Wires connected:
Remote start <-> Truck
6 wire harness:
Yellow Ignition(Yes)
Red 12V(Yes)
Orange Accessories (Yes)
Purple Starter (Yes)
Green 5th Relay (NO)
5 wire harness:
1 - Black Ground (-)(Yes)
2 - Purple Tach (AC)(Yes)
3 - Grey Hood Switch (-)(Yes)
4 - Orange - Brake switch (+)(Yes)
5 - Yellow Parking Light (+) (Yes)
Remote Start <-> Bypass
Data harness
Bypass <-> Truck
TX
RX
Any help will be appreciated, thank you.

Have you metered all fuses? Do you have constant power at the ignition harness? Did you unplug any connectors in the truck? Are they all properly seated/connected? Did you unplug anything at the sjb? Is it reconnected correctly?

I checked the fuses, seem to be fine, i have to sources of power the unit has to red wires for constant power no issues. I did unplug a few connections, one was were i hooked up lights, the other one i was going to put door locks on but changed my mind as it was to tight in there. Anyways, both connections were plugged back in, and i did check them a few time when looking for the solution to my problems. Although there might be door ajar sensors there with the lock unlock. Would i have to reset something? I'm not sure what sjb is.
Thank you.
By the way, everything else works, i can remote start with the key in the ignition, or by using the key, it will stop if i push brakes, brake lights are working, lights are working as they should with and without remote start. I can program the unit.
i am an idiot

The plugs you disconnected at the SJB, we're any the lever type? I know sometimes those kind feel like they are seated but infact need to be reseated cause they're just not quite making the trip.

dasbogie, you were 100% correct, i pulled on the smaller plug with the lever, it came out, plugged it back in and everything works again. Thank you very much.
buddholly, sounds like you are correct, but i tried to connect it through data cable from the unit, and connected it to ground when running output from the unit with no luck.
I also tried to program the unit:
mode 4 -> function 4 - bypass has3 options
1 ads 1w d2d
2 xpresskit 2w dwd
3 fortin 1w d2d
Switch that to option 1 but still no luck
Would those options even matter in the hard wire option?
Thank you.

did you connect the ignition wire from the bypass to the remote starter or to the vehicle? the pink wire from the bypass must be connected to ignition source in either no matter which installation (d2d,w2w) you choose. Glad to hear you got your door trigger situation sorted out.

its on the wire from the remote start, I'll start over after work today, hopefully it will give in.
Have another question. I have heated and ventilated seats in the truck, is it possible to make those work with my setup? I was searching for the solution with no luck, some were saying its impossible.
Dasbogie, thank you for your help, its my first installation, and its great to have expert's advise.
