Is this an auto? If so ground the ebrake status wire, if manual connect ebrake switch.
On Euro GM, d-ALL wouldn't recognise brake via data.

It's a manual. I will try to wire it direct to the ebrake. It's a flashlogic flcan btw. Thanks.

You missed the point these modules are similar and they DON'T always do what it says on the label, just ground that wire for now.

No I understand. I already tried to put it in auto trans. mode and ground the wire for diagnosis. I will try in manual mode again when I get home.

Are you setting it up via manual transmission reservation and by the way, you can test that ebrake lead black/white at the R/Start it should go to ground with ignition and ebrake on.

Finally got it working. I had the ignition wire hooked up wrong (no power while cranking). Thanks for all the assistance Howie. Everything seems to be working properly now.

Thought I had it working. The alarm goes off when I remote start. The only way to cancel the alarm is to hit the remote start button and then unlock. If I dont cut off the remote start the alarm doesn't respond to the unlock button on the keyfob. Any suggestions?

I figured it out. I had to change the setting, ign-controlled locks to option 2, lock and unlock. I believe I had to do this with my 02 Jetta as well. I couldn't remember what I did is why I asked. Remote start cant change settings? - Page 3 -- posted image.

I spoke to soon. Sometimes the alarm still goes off with remote start activation. Not always. Come to think of it my 02 jetta does the same thing. I can click unlock first and then remote start and the alarm wont go off. That works but would prefer to get it to work properly. Any suggestions?
