WITHOUT USING A CROWBAR!!

This is my daily driver.. so I don't want to tear my dash apart with a crowbar trying to break my steering wheel lock.. does anyone know where the lock is? and how I can disable it?

Not of importance.. sorry I don't want to post too much information about me and my doings.. I'm not a thief by any means.. infact I sell and install alarms.. so quite the opposite.. I just don't want anyone to figure out where to find a S2000 with no steering wheel lock..

Actually it is. And, you should know better than to ask such a Q in an open forum.

I would suggest that you ask someone off line, meaning in person.
ie. A mechanic

If I recieved a dollar every time I heard that phrase, I could have retired long ago.
There is no need to state the obvious, but once again you are asking in the wrong forum.
As I am a pro theif, so what of it??? I get paid to steal every week-end.
And??

That really doesn't amount to much here. Because, then you would have some understanding as to what is holding the counter lock in place.
It is a simple pin.

It's Funny how many installers don't understand the inner workings of a car.
I think what people fail to realize is why the counter lock is there.
The concept originally was *placed* / *installed* so as the wheel could be locked in place. So in an incline, or decline the driver would point the inner wheel toward the curb, in an event of a transmission / brake failure.
The vehicle upon moving would hit the curb, and not role down the hill onto oncoming traffic.
Later in the years it was touted as a security measure. We all know what effect that has had on theives.
0 = zero = nada = zip
The only mass production vehicle todate which cannot be physically broken off with bare hands is a current Mercedes.
Reason being is that they use 8-12 titanium pins to lock the wheel in place. A 400 lbs man and a very long breaker bar still would not be able to break the wheel loose from its locked position.
If the assembly were to break, the entire column would come with it, that would obviously negate the reason and the option to drive.
Wouldn't it . . .

For the average thief, that would be impossible. Either a flat bed or tow truck would have to be employed.
In my case, we have the the equipment to make the keys for Mercedes . . .How to disable a steering wheel lock? -- posted image.

I don't see why some of you get all riled up.. its my own car.. if you want pictures of it with whatever else in the picture of the car in my driveway for proof just ask..

I don't really see when the knowledge of how a steering wheel lock comes into play when installing alarms.. so I don't see why I should know that..

And If I knew somebody I could ask in person that I think would have any idea about something like that I would ask.. but I'm posting online as there is nowhere else to turn..

I pretty much agree with everyone else on this one. If it is your own car then go buy a Chilton's or a Helms and read it. The manuals will tell you what you want to do.
