Try to avoid stupid comments, dude.  You've much to learn, and if you stick around and read some posts you'll do just that.
Build the box so that it performs well in the worst case scenario and, in return, it will reward you at all times.

i was asking in all sincerity.... the nature of rap music is limited.... when did you ever hear someone comment on excessive sybilance in the higher frequencies.... rap music has a tendency to roll off at 10 - 12 K... not to be confused with hip hop ( i've some very well produced hip hop music)

so without you getting your panties in a bunch... i'll ask again... which are you striving to achieve... an SQ system or one that will sound good playing predominantly rap music??

if your looking for SQ Eclipse will offer better may offer a better quality product with their Ti series. than the kickers.
just a thought, but kickers will be going in my car sometime or another so im not dissin them in any way, you just mentioned SQ was what you were headin for.

Eclipse CD3424 for the cd player and start with a single Eclipse aluminum 12" sub. Add a Concept mono sub amp and this should sound just fine. Where in Canada are you?

Sorry I do not recognize the name, I might in person though. I'm sure that the members here on this site will agree that you'll be in good hands with me. I am in Nanaimo today, I'll be back on Monday morning. You have a whole pile of options in a 92 Prelude. We have done quite a few of these cars over the years. Kicker has some nice equipment, that said however, if you are interested in listening to your music, I'm quite confident that most people in the industry and on these forums will agree that they are a good loud sub, but not one that has great tonal qualities as compared to other subs in the industry. We are still working on a dual 12" L7 box right now, the fellow has already gone through 2 subs and his JBL amp running them, but now he has a new car and needs a new box. I think that Geoff is working on it later today, stop down if you like.

Well, I'll be the first one to vouch for what Rob has said, though I have been here for a few months, I have passed down a few threads with Rob and can appreciate his knowledge of the industry.

And if you live in that area especially, I would jump on it, lol, its not everyday that you go to your local shop and get the chance to interact with the shop owner, which makes it all the more worthwhile, I would rather deal with the shop owner than a salesperson that sometimes has no knowledge of the equipment he is trying to sell you, only prices.
