How true. I have a friend who was playing with a power supply at school. We had it on the 120AC 3A Setting and he accidently touched both leads at the same time.
We had to pull the leads out of his hands because his muscles just latched to them. His hands were pretty burnt.
But so as to not hi-jack this thread I once had a Pyramid Crystal 600. Toasted it. Got a Pyramid Crystal 1000. That thing put out 50 watts RMS @ 4 ohms bridged. Guess what?? Toasted it too.
Oh well, they were pieces of crap.

A friend of mine had a "1000" (hahahaha) pyramid amp.  Barely  moved his 250W memphis subs.  He got a kenwood amp now, sold it to a kid who blew his pyle amp, its still running as far as I know.  Im about the only one at my school that knows much about car audio (not braggin, its the truth).  So I see a lot of kids with pyramid, sony, and whatever crap they are currently selling at pep boys.  I try to direct these people in the direction of good equipment, but they dont want to listen.  It gets worse when I go to the local flea market.  There is this guy who sells nothing but crap, his best products are audiobahn....if that tells you anything.  Its sad to see people buying entire systems from this guy.  One dude had three square pyramid subs running off a legacy amp or something.  You could hear the distortion across the whole parking lot, it sounded absolutly terribile.  I learned my lesson on buying cheap equipment when my power acoustik amp (not the most powerful amp around) blew out a Boss sub.  I think I paid $30 for the subs w/ a box and it blew in about 10 minutes.  Someone had "custom ported" (cut a round hole in the top), I ended up selling the box for $20 and the sub still sits at my house, reminding me not to buy crap.

Ah! But look! There is only a dollar for the pyramid and pyles plugged into the electrical socket! Neither of them are! Other company's are though, and boy are they funny. Read the fine print my friend! lol

Damn fine print, gets me every time. It'd probably be worth me buying a load of pyle equiptment and blowing it up myself. Fun and I get paid for it! Probably doing the world a justice too!
