I have a Panther PS-5000 (Remote start/alarm combo) installed, yeah not the greatest but have installed few and seem to work pretty well.
I am having problems with the GMDL-BP. It is a Version: H1.S2
The 2002 Trailblazer has OEM Alarm and Keyless entry.
It seems to have difficulty doing the bypass of the Oem system. It locks/unlocks fine and alarm functions properly. The trouble is only in remote start.
When I remote start: the accessories get power and fuel system does, it waits a little, doesn't engage starter.....then the doors lock/unlock about 5 times, then goes through the remote start sequence again since it failed to start. I beleive I get power to the starter because it did start twice(but shut right off) This would mean the bypass failed. This did only happen once though.......
I had the ground while running (GWR)attached to the same wire on the Remote start (RS), that didn't work.
Tried a relay for that wire with the GWR wire from RS and OEM Disarm from RS to GWR of the GMDLBP, didn't work.
And tried direct ground to GWR of GMDLBP, didn't work.
It basically has to have something to do with this module not working properly, others seem to have had the same troubles on this board with the Trailblazer and the GMDLBP....but no input on what they did for a remedy.
I am thinking a newer version of the module might work, but don't want to buy another if it wont.
Has anyone used this module on a Trailblazer with sucess?
I am thinking of just getting the PLDATA and the GMDL1 since this GMDLBP seems to hate my trailblazer. Basically don't want to have to wire every door separate!

yeah, but does it actually work. And what module is it?
The GMDL-BP is suppose to do all that stuff, but appears to have troubles with trailblazers for some reason.

I know of the 455G for trailblazers and 456G for full size trucks.....haven't heard or even been able to find the 457? Does it control the Door locks and Passlock via databus? Where would one locate this?
thanks
