This thread won't die.  It's a good topic and people keep bringing it back up with their choices.  Ever notice how stickys get ignored?

My new favorite: the Telarc DSD re-master of the famous 1978 recording of Erich Kunzel and the Cincinnati Pops Orchestra performing the 1812 Overture with real cannons.  OHMYGOD if you can reproduce this without distortion or speaker breakup, you have one heck of a system.  Makes rap and techno sound like the wimpyass synthesized fake bass it is.  And if you have SACD in your house, better nail down the furniture, mama.

This disk absolutely kills.  It is the only thing I've ever played on my THX Reference certified HT system that bottomed out the M&K sub system (which means it near 150db in the HOUSE) and drove my Sunfire Theatre Grande amps into clipping-induced shutdown.  Ouch!

I'll agree with astro88 and say the entire album
Metallica - ...And Justice For All is great for tight bass.
