I just loaded the cndv-60mp into the AVIC-N2.
I see the new colors, some newer graphics etc. BUT... is it me or do I NOT see ANY difference in the appearance of the maps. I saw others rave about the newer maps... but they look just like the 50MT v1.1 to me.
What gives?

Not all areas have updates. My particular area had quite a few. I noticed that the military installations are now a different color, and a few major intersections which were renovated lately are updated as well...

You sure you have a D1?  Or did you mean N1?  The CNDV-40MT are from an N1 in 2004, and will not work in a D1.

I see on the CNDV-60mp DVD disk all the PIM files for the XM logos. Over on Avic411.com (and probably here too) is the pim manager program to view and convert.
I undertstand that XM change some of their station's names slightly.
However, on my unit EVERY XM station only displays the defualt blue satellite logo (file is something like: LPSNOT.PIM)   What file do I need to modify to get it to read them properly?
This is for an AVIC-N2 unit.

CNDV-60MP went on sale like only month ago ... I don't think they will be getting New Version out soon. That's what TWO Pioneer Reps told me.

Are you talking about EXCHANGED Xm and Ipod Menu look. This is not Software Related its Hardware you get that not by Updating with software it comes on New Avic-N3. It tells you on Pioneer Site Under CNDV-60MP. Updating with this software doesn't Exchange Xm and Ipod look on Avic-n1,n2,d1
