Just curious if you had the choice, which pair of 10's you would get for a wheel well sealed enclosure and a 1200.1 mono amp powering them? I've got the Diamond Audio D5 1200.1 and a smaller sealed box...too small, posted about it a while back. The Eclipses I had aren't cutting it. I want to try a different pair before I get the box rebuilt. Of thought are the new Kicker CVX's round, 600W RMS rated. the diamond Audio D6's, 500W RMS rated(would be a nice match with the two Diamond Audio amps I have). Maybe a pair of RE SE's...kinda expensive, but heard good things. The subs are workin with .5 cu ft air space a piece. I know too small for most. So anyone with experience in these subs and enclosures would be great. Thanks

.5 cubic feet including driver displacement or without?

It may be an option to inverse mount the subs so you have more airspace.

Without actually, I know bad. Inverse is a good idea if I didn't have a large false floor cover that goes over the top of the amps and subs. Would get me an extra .2 or something like that.

Damn, that's not a lot of space.

Another option is a pair of AuraSound NRT Low Profile Woofers. They are only 8's, but I've heard they come factory on the Ford GT's and sound very good.

Look under Products, and then Speaker Components to see the specs. You would need to use a different amp though of course.

They sound very good and hit pretty hard for 2 10's. I don't recall how much I spent for em but it wasn't alot. These speakers according to Memphis can use a .50/1.00 box. Mine is someplace between .50 and .60

For the air space you are allowing only one sub comes to mind. Image Dynamics! Check them out http://www.imagedynamicsusa.com/products_page.php?id=idq&type=sub. The IDQ V.2 sreries would be what you need. The only thing is the max. recommended power is 300 rms per sub and you got 500. I have only one of these in my F150 with 250 rms in a .5 cu.ft. enclosure and it pounds and hits real low with no distortion. Best small sealed enclosure sub IMO.

You're right the Image Dynamics fit right in where I need to be for volume in a sealed enclosure. Only problem is I have never heard them and would hate to buy a pair and not like them. Wish I knew a local shop that carried them, of course not. Seems like a good idea though.

Did you not read my post? My second post listed some nice speakers that only use a .40 cube box.......300/600 watts even.

I don't recommend using manufacturers enclosure recommendations unless they offer response curves and Qtc. values along with it. The reason being that many times the recommendations come from the marketing department, which may not have the response you want. Power ratings should also be very low on your list of things to look at as well.
