I just recently upgraded from a PG ti600.2  to a PG TI 800.1  you would think it would be killin the subs right?  No its not even as hard as the 600.2. I was wondering if anyone has had this problem.

Im running two Stinger gel batteries and 0 gage wire so im getting the power back there its between14.4 and 17.5 volts.   I have 2 JL w3 15"'s    and i have them running @ 2ohms.  i have been to a PG retailer no luck with them and i emailed PG but no responce yet.  I have checked all my gains frequencies and any other button or switch you can think of.  anyone got ides on whats wrong let me know.

Moving from a 600 watt amp to an 800 watt amp (assuming you can believe those ratings) is not a significant increase.

You might notice an increase if you DOUBLED your power OR woofer cone area.
DYohn is right - 600 to 800 is not a huge jump. Be careful about over-driving your equipment trying to squeeze those last db's out of it!

Yep, you won't (shouldn't) notice a gain by adding 200watts.

What is the model #'s of the subs? How did you have the subs wired to the 2channel? How are they wired to the new 1channel?

Ah, then you are probably used to listening to clipping and now you are hearing a clean signal.  The PG ti600.2 is designed to be bridged into no less than a 4-ohm load, so if you bridged it into 2-ohms you were most likely clipping pretty hard assuming it stayed on and did not go into protection.

I was running the 600pg 2 ohm stereo though.  so no clipping or ,cutting off      I have ran the titanium amps @ 1 ohm a few times and they still hold up long as it on stereo.

I wouldnt advise it though.      Could there be something wrong inside the amp?

You are still only realizing a 200w increase. Nothing to write home about ...
