yes i do solider and heat shrink when ever possible.
Why did the manufacture provide misleading info in the first place?

one other thing where does the violet starter output wire connect to if it's used at all?

Again refer to my previous post or my original diagram, i.e. cut starter wire, key side to 87a and STARTER MOTOR OUTPUT FROM R/S CONTROL UNIT and STARTER SIDE of CUT wire to 30.
My doubts were because this is the THIRD time I've either drawn this or told you.

Cheap R/S = usually wrong info or badly (i.e. misleading) drawn diagrams.
Also R/S devices are to be installed by PROS who know what they are doing.
Not intended for DIYers.
Frankly your instructions should tell you what the violet wire does or even common sense, "starter output" means that a POS (+) starter out put is sending 12V+ to the starter motor.

I'm learning,be easy on me.Sometimes i have to read things over and over than that light bulb in my head comes on.
I really appreciate your help,i'll get this wired up tomorrow on my day off.
