I have a 2002 Chevy S10. Installed is a Clifford Concept 600. It has been operating 10 months with no problems!

Now, when I shut the door,the dome light turns off,alarm arms and the dome light comes on and stays on the 20 min cut off.The alarm also beeps three times when armed stating the trigger is open.

Next, when driving the doors lock then the driver's door lock unlocks, dome light goes on. If I leave both locks open the dome light goes off!

Clifford Authorized dealer advised they unplugged the alarm and dome/locks still acting up so dealer problem!

Chevy dealer advised alarm problem, disconnected green wire connected to two resistors on alarm no dome light problem. Also stated drivers door getting constant ground to BCM from alarm. After $150.00 at the dealer!!!!!

Going back to the Clifford dealer!!!

Been on other forums no help! Sounds like resistors to me???

The green wire that the chevy dealer disconnected must have had diodes connected, not resistors. The diodes were isolating the drivers door trigger from the passenger door trigger. Perhaps the two diodes were coming into contact with each other on occasion and causing troubles. I understood what you were describing as far as the types of problems you are having, but it would help to know more detail about the frequency and consistency of the problems. Are these problems very consistent? Also, after the chevy dealer disconnected the wire, and the dome light problem went away, did the door locking and unlocking go away also? All the detail you can come up with is very helpful. When I run into a problem, the only way to solve it is to test the system and find out the exact sequence of events that takes place before during and after the problem. Then see if it occurs the same way the next time.

I think it sounds like you need to re-diode isolate the two door trigger wires like teken and velocity already mentioned, but without further detail, I could not say much about the door locks malfunctioning. There are so many different door lock features these days that you really need to know what yours are set to in order to know what it trying to do. If you have ignition controlled locks it might help to turn them off until you have the problem solved. Both the vehicle and the alarm have ignition controlled locks of some form or another so you will need to address both. The dealer can turn off the alarms part, and the owners manual fro your car should tell you how to do so for your car.

I am very sure the right answer is Diode Isolation and Teken has beaten us all to the $10 bucks. One more thing that I would add is if there is an led being loop back to the alarm unit and groud wire is touching the car body. You get dome light to go on as a result.

Both of the door were on diodes! Nope, both wires totally disconnected from the BCM and the problems still persist! The dealer told me that was the problem but it was not after he disconnected the green wires from the alarm. I think the automatic shut off happened just in time.

The problem is constant. My buddy said it sounded like the BCM, Monday I'll be taking to another dealer(friend) to be looked at again!

Sounds like a Intermittent Power problem, like a loose wire, bad connection, or loose ground, plug, etc.

Tried the BCM and it is working fine! Has to be the poppers or the door lock trigger grounding out.

I will get back to everyone and $10.00 to the right person!!! Car has been at the dealer almost 5 weeks and not the problem!

Did you check to see if any of the wires going from the truck to the door are pinched. You said it happens when you close the door. I had a similar problem with an Astro Van that drove me crazy.Did you remove the door sill plates and reinstall? Could be one of the screws or clips is pinching the wires. Just a thought

OK! Disconnected alarm box(all) still did the same thing! Took power lock fuse out, still did it!!!

I checked my wifes Blazer and ..... when you shut the doors,dome goes off and you can unlock/lock the doors manually and no light goes on! So in my S10 truck I do the same thing but on the pasenger side, when I lock it the dome light comes on! Finally I believe it's the lock itself(maybe stuck from dynamat or ...) or the door poppers/solenoid!
