cuz I realized I'd been had - the CDIB100 is twice the price and slower than the CDIB100II - only available in the US.

To be fair you cant really say you were had, I mean you ASKED for a CDIB100. If you had asked for a CDIB100II and had been given the 100, or if you asked what the difference was and they told you there wasnt one than you can say you had been had.

Oh yeah, that part was totall my fault, I know. CDIB100II isn't available in Canada, I'd never heard of it until I got home and went online to get more info on the CDIB100

i work in a small mom and pop type auto shop and one day after i had just started a man called me and said his tail pipe was over heating, when i ask him what made him think that he said was putting gas in his car and it looked hot. he never came by for us to check it though, i was dissapointed.

also a lady came by and said we meesed up her brakes because when she washed her car (after driving it to the car wash) her brakes steamed when they got wet.

I got a couple.

Years ago....did a deck and two on this guys car...can't remember what kind of car it was, but had to take alot of the dash apart. Every piece of the dash i took apart, he took into the bathroom and ran it under the sink to clean it up.....needless to say, what would of taken 45 minutes now became 2 hours. The worst part was, after i got him out of there. Went into the bathroom......there was water all over the place, he had used paper towels to wipe the parts, and then tried to flush them.

Did a deck and amp for a stripper once....opened her trunk up and found a carton of douche.....the box was bigger than her sub box.....she must of been taking on some side jobs.

And i'm sure alot of installers have run across this.....reach under the seat, and next thing you know, your hand is on a pistol.....oh, i hated that, used to put the car back together and boot em out the shop.

First off....that's why i said alot of people have run across this.....second, what difference does the state i live in make....i expect a customer to tell me if there is a gun in the vehicle. It's just common sense and courtesy. I know AZ is lax on there gunlaws, i used to live in Phoenix.....but i just like to know if there is a gun in the vehicle.

ok i had a lady bring her ranger in for an alarm, no problem on the install and she picked it up was happy and left. next day she came back with the front end and hood all smash in and a busted windshield yellin bout how i broke her hood latch and she was gonna sue me for all i had( heres my watch ... have a nice day.LOL) so i calm her down and she explaned that she went home parked her truck set the e-brake ( floor mount peddle style) and went in. came out an hour later relesed her brake and left , got on the high way hit 60mph and BANG .... hood flies up bust windshield and she hits an orange barrle. i say ok show me what u did , so she gets in the car pulls the e-brake release and said she put in gear . i had my other installer go talk to her cause it was to good to keep to myself.... life is good !

The all time best, that sends a shiver down my spine is when a customer says:  "All you gotta do..." , because my job is soooo much easier when your brother/uncle's/next door neighbor's friend started the install.

God I love the "all you gotta do is".  "Well can you come outside so I can show you something" This is usually said after someone tells me a problem with their car. Something distinctive like my subs aren't playing anything. I don't need you to show me they arent giving out any sound. I beleive you. Or the "Can you do _______ to my car really quick, it's easy". Its so easy your not doing it.
