Anywho, why do you care about that anyway?
The United States simply is not a competetive manufacturer of consumer electronic goods. Especially lower end commodities like stereo gear simply is not made domestically at anything approaching a reasonable cost. This isn't a bad thing... just that low end production jobs are moving to where wages are lower. Don't believe everything you hear about this. Competitive companies, like Kicker for example, are in the 'information' export business... domesitcally *designed* products are then produced overseas for a fraction of the cost. In this sense, America is still exporting its most valuable commodity... our intelligence.
Besides, the farther you are away from a product the more money you make on it. Don't all the installers here complain about being underpaid? That's not a mistake, its a market reality.
If you're worried about the American manufacturing sector.. worry not... we still lead the planet by several orders of magnitude when we built complicated things. Like machine tools.

I don't even sell kicker; but that didn't sound right!
