with so many remote start packages out there...
Which one would you pick if it was for your personal car (with manual transmission)

viper 7900 w/ 689M for MT. Cant really get any better than that.

Viper 7900, it's all about the range, and defroster output that doesn't require hitting a second button

^I think hes just kidding bc most of the popular units were out can do those things and many more. Theres a relay section on this board that turn a pulse trigger into something phenomenon.

Autostart AS6850TW-Fm, IMO one of the best new units on the market right now.
Most Viper7900's i've seen have horrible range, about 20% of the 5900sst. Probably because it's an AM piece with a pretty remote.

I have had a clifford avantguard5 in multiple cars, and will be installing  an intel8000 in my current car in the near future.

My only complaint is that neither of these have paging remotes and the new avantguard is expensive as all get-out.

5900 Viper has much better range than the 7900... it's in my vehicle (actually the Clifford version as i prefer the CF remote)
